Introduction to Communion

Once a year First Presbyterian Church hosts an Introduction to Communion for K-5 through 5th grade children and their parents. This lunch and learn session is designed to help children better understand the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. The children make placemats using traditional symbols of Communion. They also learn about the "behind the scenes" of how the bread and juice are prepared for the congregation on Communion Sundays. An introductory session is also provided for the younger preschool children one Sunday during Church School.
